About The Alt Officiant

I’m Nathan Everett, and I’ve been performing ceremonies since 2015. I got started when my brother-in-law and then fiancée asked me to officiate their wedding. I was honored and figured that conducting a ceremony would come easily since I had done plenty of public speaking. The day of the wedding came and I was incredibly nervous, so much so that I was physically sick throughout the day. Despite my nerves, the ceremony went very well, the couple was elated and their guests laughed and cried. It meant so much to me to play a role in one of the best days of their lives and have such an impact on the audience through telling their story.

Since that first wedding, I’ve married many other couples around Massachusetts and New England. I take time to get to know every couple, typically through a few group Skype sessions and 1:1 phone calls with each partner as the ceremony comes together. I find inspiration in their journey and dig deep to understand why they love each other, how they’ve shaped one another, and what their future holds.

I am an Ordained Minister through the Universal Life Church and can marry couples in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Vermont. I try to stay within 90 minutes of central Massachusetts but I’m happy to drive further if needed.
